The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 5 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Capitanes (20-7) on the court of third ranked Aguada on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by Aguada 104-85. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Aguada made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American John Meeks (197-1999, college: Charleston) scored 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Sheldon Mac (196-1992, college: Miami, FL, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 22 points during the contest. Nigerian-American center Jahlil Okafor (211-1995, college: Duke) responded with 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aguada (14-16) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Arecibo at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. Aguada are looking forward to face league's leader Arecibo at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Arecibo will play against Santurce and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Indios (13-11) against fourth ranked Cangrejeros (14-12) on Friday night. Visiting Indios were defeated by Cangrejeros in Santurce 98-84. American center Jared Sullinger (206-1992, college: Ohio St.) notched a double-double by scoring 29 points and 19 rebounds to lead the effort and Jayden Martinez supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds by American power forward Diamond Stone (208-1997, college: Maryland) did not help to save the game for Mayaguez. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cangrejeros have a solid three-game winning streak. Santurce moved-up to third place which they share with defeated Mayaguez. Mayaguez at the other side dropped to the third position with 11 games lost. Santurce will play against league's leader Arecibo at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mayaguez will play against the league's leader Caguas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Guaynabo. Second ranked host Mets (15-10) defeated 3rd ranked Gigantes (14-13) 111-103. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Gigantes. The best player for the winners was Rondae Hollis-Jefferson who scored 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Brandon Goodwin produced 27 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the guests. Guaynabo maintains second position with 15-10 record behind leader Arecibo. Defending champion Carolina dropped to the fourth place with 13 games lost. Guaynabo will meet San German (#5) on the road in the next round. Carolina will play against Santurce and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 26: Santurce won against Bayamon on the opponent's court 94-88. Manati managed to outperform Quebradillas in a home game 98-90. Ponce recorded a loss to San German on the road 87-78. Caguas defeated Manati on its own court 109-105. Bayamon was beaten by Quebradillas in a road game 85-80.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 25 points and 12 rebounds by Tai Odiase of Quebradillas.

Rather expected game in Bayamon where 6th ranked Vaqueros (9-18) were defeated by fourth ranked Cangrejeros (14-12) 94-88 on Thursday. Santurce made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Santurce outrebounded Bayamon 45-28 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American center Jared Sullinger (206-1992, college: Ohio St.) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. The other American import guard Tyler Harvey (194-1993, college: EWU) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Nigerian-American center Chinanu Onuaku (207-1996, college: Louisville) produced 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Stephen Thompson Jr (194-1997, college: Oregon St.) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Cangrejeros have a solid three-game winning streak. There was a small surprise in Manati where fifth ranked Osos (13-16) defeated their close opponent Piratas (12-16) 98-90 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was international point guard Jordan Howard (180-1996, college: Cent Arkansas) who scored 27 points and 5 assists (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!). American guard Alex Morales (198-1997, college: Wagner) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Osos players scored in double figures. DR Congolese point guard Emmanuel Mudiay (196-1996) produced 22 points and 4 assists and American center Tai Odiase (206-1995, college: UIC) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Piratas' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Manati maintains fifth position with 13-16 record. Quebradillas lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with 16 games lost. Manati will meet Bayamon (#6) on the road in the next round. Quebradillas will play against Ponce in Juana Diaz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in San German where 5th ranked Leones (10-16) were defeated by sixth ranked Atleticos (11-16) 87-78 on Friday. San German made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Ponce's players. The best player for the winners was American Alize Johnson (206-1996, college: Missouri St.) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). The other American import point guard Nate Mason (188-1995, college: Minnesota) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Atleticos' coach Eddie Casiano used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The former international Jordan Murphy (200-1997, college: Minnesota) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and American guard Alex Morales (198-1997, college: Wagner) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests.
